Roberto Martinez makes bold claim in Leeds vs Man City prediction – ‘Completely different game’
Roberto Martinez believes Leeds United can give Manchester City a real scare on Saturday evening.
The Premier League title challengers travel to Elland Road to take on Daniel Farke’s side, looking to pile the pressure on table-topping Arsenal.
It’s another hugely important game for Leeds though in their battle to avoid relegation, with the Whites currently six points above the bottom three.
The West Yorkshire side will hope to utilise their home advantage to secure another big result, after wins over Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Chelsea at Elland Road in recent months.

Leeds can worry Man City with early goal
Since the start of December, Leeds have lost just two games out of 16 across all competitions, pulling themselves clear of the relegation zone.
The Whites now sit on 31 points with 11 matches remaining this season, and are in a really good position to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
It will be a huge challenge to get anything out of Saturday’s clash with Man City though, given that Pep Guardiola’s side are battling for the Premier League title.
City are on a five-game winning run across all competitions, and have lost just once in the Premier League since November.
Despite that, Portugal manager Martinez believes that Leeds have a real chance of springing a surprise.
Speaking on Stick to Football, he said that if Farke’s side grab the first goal against Man City then it could completely change the outcome of the game.
“If Leeds score it becomes a completely different game. I think if they’re going to win it’s because they’re going to [score first].”
Ian Wright and Gary Neville predict Leeds vs Man City
Despite Martinez’s positive words about Leeds, he was still in agreement that Man City will be too strong on the day.
The former Everton boss, along with Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, predicted that the Whites will lose 2-0 to Guardiola’s side.
Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Jill Scott also believe that City will have too much for Farke’s side and will come away with all three points.
However, they do think that Leeds will find the back of the net, predicting that the Whites will be beaten 2-1 on Saturday evening.
