Robert Snodgrass shares what he has heard about Bielsa promises to squad at Leeds

Every single Leeds United fan would love to be inside the head of Marcelo Bielsa to share an insight into his knowledge.

El Loco is known as one of the best coaches in world football, and he has proved that during his two-year spell at Elland Road.

Robert Snodgrass is one player who would have loved to have played under Bielsa, and he has recently shared what he has heard about promises the South American makes to his squad.

The former Whites winger admitted that the Leeds coach has promised his squad that they will all earn minutes, and will be looked after if they play well.

“He’s so similar to Pellegrini, they’ve got that South American approach too it,” he said on the Lockdown Tactics podcast.

“He’s obviously kept a lot of those boys, but he’s promised them that rotation within the squad, that everybody will get a certain chance and if boys are doing well, he will look after them.

“You can see the connection he’s got with Hernandez, he just always has his arm around him. He just knows the attention to detail that he goes into, he knows the full ins-and-outs about how each player work.”

It is not often that you see Bielsa getting close to his squad, but the embraces he had after Leeds were promoted proved just how much he admires each player.

Let’s take Hernandez for example, the Spaniard has been superb since arriving in 2016, but he has been a different class under Bielsa.

During that two-year spell, he has delivered the most assists, the most goal-involvements and tops nearly every single passing department at the club.

Bielsa will be critical in the Premier League, and let’s hope that contract can be signed in the coming weeks at Elland Road.
