Robbie Savage has predicted that Leeds United will finish 14th in the Premier League next season.
The controversial player turned pundit admitted that he hopes the Whites do well as they end their 16-year hiatus from the top-flight in West Yorkshire.
Leeds are only one week away from playing Liverpool at Anfield on the opening day, with a tough first-six fixtures ahead of them.
Savage claimed that he wouldn’t be surprised if Leeds finished anywhere from 7th to 17th as he questions the unpredictability of the Whites.
“Marcelo Bielsa coaching in the Premier League will be one of the most fascinating subplots of the season and, as an attacking force, record signing Rodrigo will give Leeds a focal point,” he wrote for the Mirror.
“I hope they do well, and they could finish anywhere between the top six and the bottom three, but I suspect it will be somewhere in the middle.”
Savage usually isn’t one to publically praise Leeds, but he did tip fellow promoted sides West Brom and Fulham to finish as the bottom two.
We would definitely take any place above the relegation zone, as Liam Cooper already admitted, the squad would take 17th if it was offered to them now.
Andrea Radrizzani is making sure that Bielsa has the squad he wants to attack the Premier League, and with moves for Rodrigo de Paul and Josko Gvardiol ongoing – it could yet get better.
Should those two join, the Whites would have a great squad for next season, one that is still built around the players that got them here – vitally important.
