Robbie Savage and Martin Keown disagree on if Javi Gracia can save Leeds United in relegation battle live on BT Sport
Robbie Savage and Martin Keown were in disagreement when it came to Leeds United’s chances of survival despite Javi Gracia’s appointment as boss.
The Whites scrapped the Michael Skubala experiment after three winless games since sacking Jesse Marsch, bringing in former Watford boss Gracia on a deal until the end of the season initially.
But speaking live on BT Sport Score (14:38), Savage was asked if he felt the appointment could keep Leeds in the division but his answer was quick and decisive.

“No, I think Leeds will go down,” he said.
But Martin Keown disagreed somewhat and felt that they had the quality to stay in the division.
“I think they’ve got a chance,” he said. “I think the calibre of player is good enough. They’ve got to get Rodrigo fit again. Bamford, they need to look at Bamford.
“The two wingers need to stop messing about and get the ball in the box.
“Gnonto has great talent, he’s a box of tricks, but he needs to get the ball in the box quicker.”
Silence the doubters
Gracia did a great job of silencing the doubters early doors with the performance today.

Leeds looked far more solid than they have done in a long time defensively, and going forward they still created a lot of chances and should have arguably won the game by more than just the one goal.
It was a bit of luck that helped us over the line in the end, but considering Gracia has only been in charge for a number of days it was really encouraging to see the effect he has had on the side already.
The win moves us out of the relegation zone and gives us some much needed momentum with our first win since back in October.
We can surely continue to build on that now, and Gracia can look back on this with great pride at the end of the season while we can all laugh at Robbie Savage yet again.
