Robbie Savage and Emma Jones back Leeds for more Premier League success
Robbie Savage and Emma Jones have backed Leeds United for more success in the Premier League this season.
The Whites finished ninth last season and while Savage believes it will be more of the same, Jones backed a big European push.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men open the season against Manchester United tomorrow, and will be looking for revenge at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Three of the Best for William Hill on Friday, Savage switched the roles and quizzed Jones on her side.
“What do you think about Leeds?” he asked.
Jones responded and in her jubilant manner predicted big things for the Whites and more progression.

“I reckon they’re going to be competing for European football this year, I do.”
Savage actually went on to agree and backed the Whites to replicate their success of last season in the Premier League.
“They’ve got a good singing in Junior Firpo, I think he’ll do well. One or two more signings to come, big game at Old Trafford in the opener. A top-10 finish once again.”
Bring it on.
Savage and Jones are predicting big things, and so are we.
Leeds are out to silence all of those suggesting that “second season syndrome” may be a thing, with Bielsa the best man to combat that.
Sheffield United wasted their money in the transfer window with shocking signings, and Wolves spent far too much to make that a consistent thing, resulting in obvious declines.
The Whites have been smart, identifying the main area that needed addressing, bringing in Junior Firpo at a bargain price, then moving on to other areas further down the line.
It’s time to show we’re here to stay, and that last year was no fluke – we appear to be the only ones which know that.
