Rob Edwards angry reaction to Leeds United ace in win v Luton explained
Graham Smyth has shared an off-camera moment caught between Rob Edwards and Leeds United ace Manor Solomon in the 3-0 win against Luton Town.
The Whites returned to the Championship summit after the victory at Elland Road on Wednesday [28 November] as goals courtesy of Sam Byram, Joel Piroe and Dan James secured the three points.
However, Solomon was caught in an off-camera incident with Edwards, as reported by Smyth via the Yorkshire Evening Post [28 November], as the Luton boss seemingly reacted angrily to the winger stealing a bottle of water – but it was all fun and games at Elland Road.
Smyth wrote: “Rob Edwards pretending to get angry with Manor Solomon for taking a water bottle from the Luton technical area before reassuring the Leeds winger he was joking.”
How has Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon performed at Leeds?
The 25-year-old has had a challenging start to life at Leeds following his loan move from Tottenham in the summer, particularly struggling with injuries and producing consistent form in the Championship.
Indeed, his performance against Luton left a lot to be desired, as he spurned a golden opportunity to twist the knife into the opposition in the 76th minute but sent his effort high and wide of the target.
Daniel Farke is blessed with a plethora of attacking options at Elland Road, and considering Solomon will be due to return to North London at the end of the campaign, he arguably has the biggest point to prove this year.
However, his signing has proved significantly underwhelming thus far, and he could very well be on the chopping block in West Yorkshire as Farke considers strengthening his frontline in the upcoming transfer window, with Manchester City youngster James McAtee among the desired options.
Furthermore, Dan James responded to his first team snub with his “brilliant” goal off the bench against Luton, replicating Wilfried Gnonto’s feat, as he scored the 91st-minute winner in the 4-3 win against Swansea City last weekend.

Time is running out for Solomon at Leeds to prove that he can make a significant impact towards the Premier League aspirations this term.
Regardless of how the squad lines up against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday [30 November], he must follow the example set by his teammates.
