Rio Ferdinand sends message as Jack Harrison pens new Leeds United deal
Jack Harrison finally belongs to Leeds United after three consecutive loan spells at Elland Road as a Manchester City player.
The attacking midfielder has penned a three-year deal after the Whites activated the option to sign him permanently.
Harrison has played 128 games across all competitions for Leeds and will be hoping to play much more over the coming seasons.
The 24-year-old has taken to Instagram to react after finally completing the move, and former Whites centre-back Rio Ferdinand has responded.
“Love it,” he said in the comments.
Finally
Harrison has proven himself as a top player since his first-ever loan spell, and was in fine form in the Premier League last term.
The Stoke-on-Trent-born attacker scored eight goals and assisted a further eight in 36 Premier League games.
The Leeds star bagged 10 Championship goals and 11 assists in his first two seasons with us, and would be keen to improve massively next term and going forward in order to break into England’s star-studded squad.
Harrison has become a better player under head coach Marcelo Bielsa, and has a lot of room for improvement.
Man City currently do not regret letting him go given the calibre of attacking talents manager Pep Guardiola has at his disposal, but he has the potential to become a world-class player.
Their loss could become our gain in the long run, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for him in the Leeds shirt.
Ferdinand was clearly left buzzing by the news, and he shares the exact same view as the fans, with Harrison surely only set to get better after this bargain move.
In other Leeds news, Marcelo Bielsa has lost court case against club, ordered to pay them.
