Rio Ferdinand blown away as Leeds confirm Dan James signing
Rio Ferdinand was blown away by Leeds United finally confirming the signing of Daniel James in the past week.
The Welsh international arrived on deadline day for £25million, ending a two-and-a-half-year saga that started at Swansea.
Ferdinand backed James to cause Premier League teams real problems in Leeds’ style, with Marcelo Bielsa loving to attack relentlessly.

Speaking on FIVE, his own football outlet, Ferdinand waxed lyrical following the confirmation of the move.
“The way Leeds play, he’s going to be a problem for a few teams,” he said.
“He will be getting the ball and getting forward quickly, and that suits his game. Leeds United for Dan James will be a fantastic move for both parties.”

Exciting times ahead.
With Liverpool coming up on Sunday, there may not be a bigger game for James to start his Leeds career.
It could be a relentless end-to-end game at Elland Road, and should it be level in the second half and open, the Welsh flyer will be perfect to bring off the bench and unleash.
Leeds have counter-attacked well at the start of this season and caught Everton and Burnley out numerous times.
The Whites are set to get even more dangerous in those situations now, with even more raw speed to call upon in their attacking ranks.
We can’t wait to see how this one plays out, and Bielsa will be raring to start his masterplan with James, albeit nearly three years late.
