Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth investment on cards for 49ers at Leeds United – Sky Sports

Professional golfers Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth could all become investors in Leeds United, according to Sky Sports.

The American trio could all have a stake in the West Yorkshire outfit amid the club’s impending takeover by the 49ers Enterprises.

Leeds announced earlier this month that an agreement had been reached between the Americans and Andrea Radrizzani for 100% of the club to be sold.

“Rickie Fowler has exclusively revealed to Sky Sports News that he, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth could become investors in Leeds United amid the 49ers takeover,” Sky Sports journalist Thomas wrote on Twitter.

Exciting times

After a hugely disappointing campaign for the Whites, things are already starting to look much brighter, with this latest development involving some of the best golfers in the world a really exciting one.

The trio are well-known and definitely well-liked in America, and of course are extremely wealthy given their success in golf over the years.

But all Leeds supporters really want is for the whole process to be wrapped up as soon as possible, which is unfortunately not going to happen given how complicated the proceedings are, made even more challenging by the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Things would have been much more straightforward had the Whites remained in England’s top flight, but it wasn’t to be this season despite the best efforts of Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia and Sam Allardyce.

All three managers could only watch on with the fans as the players failed on the pitch and dropped down to the second division.

In other Leeds United news, Newcastle United want to sign one Whites man to help unleash Bruno Guimaraes.
