Richard Keys has questioned whether Marcelo Bielsa will still be in charge of Leeds United in the Premier League next season.
El Loco is currently midway through his third year at Elland Road and never tends to sign for more than one season at a time.
Keys claims that the Whites will never finish higher than 10th in the Premier League with this style, and believes that a change could help.
Writing in his blog, Keys began to wonder what Andrea Radrizzani will be thinking regarding the current status of his club.
“I’m beginning to wonder if a change is needed,” he said. “Bielsa holds a god-like status with Leeds fans. He can do no wrong in their eyes – but what does the owner make of it all? At the end of the day – his opinion is the only one that matters.
“I don’t believe Leeds will ever be better then 14th-10th playing the way they do. That won’t be enough for an ambitious owner like Andrea Radrizzani. It shouldn’t be enough for Leeds fans either.
“So what happens in order for Leeds to take the next step? I wonder if Bielsa will be in charge at Elland Road next season?”
Radrizzani will have no complaints.
Perspective is needed, and it is something that the media appears to lack when speaking about the Whites in the Premier League.
Leeds haven’t been in the top-flight for 16 years, and the only goal of the club this season will be to secure survival to carry on building themselves.
Sky Sports shared a post after the Brighton defeat claiming that the wheels could have come off at Elland Road – where are those posts about the likes of Wolves and Sheffield United?
Both set the league alight last season, but yet here Leeds are, above them.
Bielsa is doing a brilliant job, and there should be no suggestions of him leaving Elland Road, Radrizzani should be delighted with what he has achieved.
