Richard Keys: I'd rather watch Leeds United than Manchester City

Richard Keys has been lost for words to describe just how much he has loved watching Leeds United this season.

The Whites finished ninth in the Premier League this season, despite being away for more than 16 years in the Championship and League One.

Keys admitted that he would rather watch Marcelo Bielsa’s men than eventual champions Manchester City if given the choice, bold words.

Writing on his own personal blog on Monday, Keys expects this immediate success to continue beyond this season at Elland Road.

“Leeds? I repeat when I’ve said on beINSPORTS,” he said.

“Their return has been so good that I expect to see them surrounded by the teams they’ve finished amongst. I mean that. It’s as though they’ve never been away. And I love watching them. I’d rather watch them than City.”

Champions?

It is no coincidence that Leeds were the only side that Pep Guardiola and City failed to beat this season, despite their major success.

Marcelo Bielsa is a mastermind, that was proven even further with our 2-1 win at the Etihad despite playing with 10-men for the majority of the clash.

Keys isn’t exactly the best pundits after his sacking, but he still tries his best to get his opinion out into the world with his blog.

Who would have known how much he loves watching Leeds?

If his prediction is right for next season, it appears as though the Whites could be set to qualify for European football, who’d have thought that five years ago?

What a journey it has been, and it is still only getting started.
