Richard Keys hits out at imaginary experts after what happened in Leeds United v Crystal Palace
Richard Keys has hit out at the keyboard warriors who criticised Crystal Palace’s decision to call upon Roy Hodgson as the former England boss masterminded a stunning 1-5 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road.
The 75-year old was something of a surprise option following Patrick Viera’s recent departure but his experience and know-how has come to the fore yet again. Suddenly, Palace are on the up and looking good to secure their top flight status for next season.
Keys blasted those who labelled Hodgson as a football relic, upon his return to the Premier League.

The football anchor for Qatar based beIn Sports commented on his Twitter account:
“Roy Hodgson. Dinosaur?
Football isn’t rocket science. If City had scored that third goal the ‘experts’ would be drooling.”

Unbelievable. No one would have seen this coming as it appeared that Leeds were going into the break with a 1-0 lead at Elland Road.
First, Marc Guehi grabbed the equaliser and Palace went on to pummel their hosts, in what is a significant result for the south London club and especially, Roy Hodgson. The Whites were wide open and far too easily picked apart by their opponents.
Hodgson will be delighted. The veteran boss quietly goes about his business in a typically understated style but what an impact he is having on the squad at Selhurst Park.
His team have now scored seven goals in the last two games, since his return. That is as much as they had managed in the previous 15 games in the Premier League under Patrick Viera. Massive!
As for Javi Gracia and Leeds, this result is a heavy blow that was very much unexpected and one that they will need to quickly recover from.
They simply can’t afford a hangover into the coming games, especially with Liverpool next up, at Elland Road next Monday.
