Report - Super-agent Mino Raiola looking to engineer summer exit for Leeds midfielder

Super-agent Mino Raiola is working on engineering a deal that would see his client Ouasim Bouy leave Leeds United this summer, according to Serie B News.

The 27-year-old signed for the Whites back in 2017 on a free transfer from Juventus, but was immediately loaned back out to Spanish outfit Cultural Leonesa.

He also spent last season with Dutch club PEC Zwolle, but returned to Elland Road at the beginning of the current campaign and failed to make a single appearance for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The defensive midfielder has not made a single appearance for Leeds since signing for the club.

And it is understood that his representative, Raiola, is keen to find him a way out of English football in the coming weeks.

According to the report from Serie B News, the agent has already offered Bouy to both Reggina 1914 and SPAL.

Reggina have just been promoted to the Italian second tier, while SPAL are in real danger of dropping out of the top flight this term.

To be frank, Bouy would not be missed if he leaves in the upcoming transfer window.

After all, how can you miss something you never had?

Bouy has never played for the club, and will likely bow out without ever making an appearance at Elland Road.

With that in mind, it’s clear that Bielsa doesn’t fancy him, and the chances of him amending that stance in the Premier League seem slim at best.

A move would probably be best for all parties, allowing the player to continue his career at an age when he should be looking for regular first team action, and would also free up some funds for Leeds to spend on new players.

Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk, who worked with the player at Hamburg, once questioned whether the player was even cut out for English football, and to be perfectly honest, we think that’s a very valid question that has already been answered thoroughly by his prolonged absence from Bielsa’s plans.

It’s time for him to go.
