Report shares what Leeds will be 'hoping and praying for' to avoid potential nightmare

The longer we wait for answers, the closer we are getting to a return of football and more importantly Leeds United and their promotion push.

It has been revealed by the EFL that they are pushing to complete the season behind-closed-doors and find an answer to who will be promoted and relegated in the football league.

Training could return as early as mid-May with the goal surely to return to action in June and finish the remaining nine games in the Championship.

The Mirror have released a report claiming that Leeds face the nightmare of losing Marcelo Bielsa and his staff should the season be declared null and void.

They went on to suggest that the Whites will be praying for UEFA to help for the season to return and be concluded naturally.

“If the season cannot continue, the likes of Leeds, West Brom – and Liverpool for that matter – will be hoping and praying that UEFA’s suggestion of “sporting merit” is upheld throughout given their efforts up to this point,” they wrote.

The future of Bielsa hasn’t really come under question during the break, but should somehow the Whites miss out on promotion, an exit would look likely.

El Loco even showed up at Thorp Arch without warning recently, just to give staff to-do lists – not something done by a man who could be leaving soon. We are confident that football will resume and this nightmare will be avoided, with the clear consensus being that the season must conclude.
