Report shares significant update on Leeds pursuit of PL 24-year-old
Leeds United have halted their pursuit of bringing in another goalkeeper during this window.
The Whites were exploring the possibility of bringing in another stopper, with Illan Meslier initially struggling and Kiko Casilla injured.
The Frenchman has since impressed though, making numerous outrageous saves against Sheffield United and also impressing in the draw with Man City.
Leeds were linked with a move for Southampton keeper Angus Gunn earlier in the window, with Ralph Hasenhuttl admitting he could leave.
Hampshire Live have shared an update on deadline day, and it appears that Gunn will not be arriving at Elland Road any time soon.
According to the significant update, the Whites have cooled their interest in the 24-year-old, who is more likely to join Stoke.

With Meslier impressing Marcelo Bielsa, there is no need to bring in another option and potentially upset the balance when it isn’t needed.
The only thing clear about this is that Gunn will almost definitely be leaving Southampton.
Gunn had been dropped to the Saints’ under-23s recently, and if he isn’t good enough for their senior side, there is no chance he would make it at Elland Road.
Meslier has been superb, and although Casilla has very few fans in West Yorkshire, there is no need to bring in another face unless the Spaniard leaves.
Casilla is expected to stay, so it looks as though the Whites have their two keepers for the rest of the season – something that may change further down the line.
