Report shares major update on Ezgjan Alioski leaving Leeds for Galatasaray

Leeds United defender Ezgjan Alioski has signed a contract with Galatasaray before a potential summer move, according to Fotospor.

The Turkish outlet has reported on their website that the left-back has signed a three-year deal, with a substantial hike in wages.

It is also suggested that due to the planned election being cancelled at the club, it could affect the planned switch of Alioski from Elland Road.

Fotospor have reported that the only step remaining is the official announcement.

This has been coming for a number of different weeks now, and a development came up last week that Alioski had asked for the announcement to be delayed.

There were fears of the backlash the North Macedonian international would receive between now and the end of the season given past events.

Marcelo Bielsa spoke about the situation in his latest press conference, and admitted that he would still love the defender to stick around; that appears to be out of the window.

Four games to go.

We can all admit that Alioski isn’t the best player we have all seen in terms of technical ability, but he has certainly impressed us all.

Unfortunately, he has lapses in concentration that affects him and the team far too often, a prime example the penalty against Brighton last week.

With fans expected at Elland Road for the final day of the season, it will be intriguing to see what sort of reaction Alioski receives from the Whites faithful.

Alioski will be remembered for his crazy ways, and will still go down in history for his role in taking us back to the Premier League.
