Report: Scouts impressed by on-fire Leeds youngster – could leave in Jan loan move
Leeds United youngster Sam Greenwood has emerged as a loan target for a host of clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
According to a report from the Telegraph, scouts from several teams in the Football League have been watching Greenwood in action.
It is now being suggested that he could leave Elland Road in January in the search of first-team football.
With six goals in seven games for the Under-23s this season, Greenwood’s performances are not going unnoticed.
Decisions to make for Greenwood and Leeds
Leeds will have to manage Greenwood’s immediate future carefully and their decision may rest on any potential incomings at Elland Road in the new year.

With Rodrigo playing in a deeper midfield role following his arrival from Valencia, Leeds have little by the way of squad depth beyond Bamford.
Aside from the Spaniard, Joe Gelhardt would perhaps be the obvious replacement to come in for Bamford in terms of an out-and-out striker, but Marcelo Bielsa will be well aware that an injury or two could drastically change things for Leeds.
It is no surprise to see Greenwood garner interest from the Football League, his fast start to life at Leeds saw him pick up the Premier League 2 player of the month award in September.
Greenwood himself will also have a decision to make, does he feel it will be more beneficial to remain at Leeds – where he could potentially learn from Bielsa and co in training – or pursue first-team opportunities to improve his future Elland Road chances.
Having only joined the club in the summer from Arsenal, the first option could be the safest bet for the promising young striker.
