Report reveals potential nightmare crisis facing Leeds as result of current EFL suspension
There is a sense of confusion surrounding Leeds United and a number of loan players at the club with the current EFL suspension.
The Football League is currently suspended until the beginning of April, but it is expected to be extended past that date, which is currently when Leeds are expected to travel to Blackburn.
There are no answers surrounding what could happen about loan players at the club, with Illan Meslier, Jack Harrison, and Ben White all on temporary deals at Elland Road.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay has revealed that numerous clubs will face the same problem, and there could be an agreement to extend those potential deals.
Leeds Live have shared that the Whites could be facing a nightmare crisis with their goalkeepers. It is suggested that with Kiko Casilla still having six games left to serve on his racism ban, there could be limited options available.
Meslier’s loan deal is set to expire at the end of June, so if no permanent deal is found, Bielsa could be without a keeper should the Championship be ongoing in the summer.

The Mirror has recently reported that Leeds are ready to activate a permanent deal for Meslier, and that could be done as early as July.
It is suggested that Leeds see great potential in the French youngster and see him as a potential future replacement for Casilla.
Meslier has shined in his first two Championship starts – keeping clean sheets in both. Should the Whites manage to keep hold of the 20-year-old, and make the deal permanent, that would stop the potential crisis.
