Adama Traore is firmly on the radar of Leeds United and an offer is likely to be forthcoming, according to Eurosport.
Victor Orta reportedly remains a fan of the super-fast winger having signed him while at Middlesbrough, though a £50million price tag ruled out a move this season.
However, Eurosport suggest that recent investment from the 49ers has provided the Whites with a cash boost, which will enable them to strengthen in the summer.
That means a formal offer for Traore is on the cards, who has been a target all season long.
Creating strong competition
Leeds sit comfortably in 11th place this season but in recent matches Marcelo Bielsa has had to rely on the players who got us promoted last year.
We signed well last summer but currently only Raphinha is fit to play out of our four major signings.
Naturally, that has impacted our starting eleven, but the biggest issue is the lack of quality on the bench.
Bielsa has limited options to call on and that is why the addition of Traore could be so effective.
Instead of bringing on a lacklustre and out-of-sorts Helder Costa when chasing games, we would have a proven Premier League player with a huge amount of pace and energy.
Traore has proved that this season despite being a little out of form himself, with just one goal.
The £43,000 a week player [Spotrac] is definitely worth pursuing and offers real pace and a different dimension to what we’ve got.
Bielsa does like a small squad too and that means potentially moving Helder Costa on for Traore, and that would be a significant upgrade.
