Report details what Victor Orta did on pitch with Elland Rd empty after Leeds win v Huddersfield
Leeds United director of football Victor Orta has had his fair share of stick since he was hired by Andrea Radrizzani.
And while some of his signings can be questioned – his passion for the club cannot be.
According to LeedsLive, Orta made his way down to the pitch on Saturday after Leeds United beat Huddersfield 2-0 to go top of the Championship table.
It is understood that the Spanish recruitment chief was seen screaming into his mobile phone with “sheer delighted” after Elland Road had emptied.
It’s not the first time that Orta has shown his passion for Leeds.
After the 4-0 win over West Brom last season, LeedsLive reports that the director of football was heard shouting “Vamos Leeds” down his phone.
It will be interesting to know who is on the other end of these phonecalls and whether or not their eardrums are still intact because Orta certainly loves to show his delight in this manner.
Whether or not you’re happy with the signings that Orta has made in his time at Elland Road, you cannot deny that it’s great to see someone high up in the hierarchy who is so visibly delighted when the team wins.
It shows that he cares and when you care, you do a better job.
In other Leeds United news, Orta might’ve already found one target for the summer with the Whites eyeing up a deal for this West Ham midfielder.
