Report details what insiders have said about FA Casilla findings, won’t make pleasant reading
The FA handed Kiko Casilla an eight-match ban last week after the Leeds United goalkeeper was found to have racially abused West Brom’s Jonathan Leko while he was on loan at Charlton.
Casilla, 33, served the first match of his ban on Saturday as Illan Meslier started in goals for the 4-0 hammering of Hull at the KCOM Stadium but the public is yet to find out the findings of the FA’s investigation about the Spanish shot-stopper.
However the Daily Mail reports that, on Monday, the reasons behind Casilla’s ban are due to be released.
Mail journalist Mike Keegan wrote on the newspaper’s website: “Written reasons behind the suspension are due on Monday and insiders say they will not make pleasant reading for Leeds.”
Until we see what these written reasons are, we are not going to judge but this does not sound as though it’s going to be good for Casilla and for Leeds United Football Club.
There has been a huge reaction to Casilla’s ban among fans, with many of them perplexed over how the FA have banned the ex-Real Madrid man on the balance of probability.
However that is simply the terminology that has been used by the FA and we’ll be able to determine ourselves the balance of probability once these findings have been made public.
For now though, matters on the pitch need to take centre stage because Leeds are flying and Meslier impressed on his league debut at the weekend.
In other Leeds United news, Hull fans have been raging about what happened with Leeds fans on Saturday afternoon.
