Report details Leeds plan to overcome potential issue with loan stars, three new deals on cards
Leeds United will aim to get Ben White, Jack Harrison and Jean-Kevin Augustin tied down to rolling loan contracts if the season extends past the expiry of their current deals, according to Football Insider.
White, Harrison and Augustin are all on loan at Elland Road but those temporary deals are set to end in June.
However if the current Championship is resumed and runs into the summer, it leaves a lot of uncertainty surrounding the futures of Leeds’ loan stars.
Football Insider adds that while Helder Costa and Illan Meslier are also on loan at Elland Road, the Yorkshire giants are already set to sign both of them permanently and will do that before their loan deals expire.
The futures of White, Harrison and Augustin will need addressing though if this scenario plays out and Leeds’ strategy should keep them on-board until the campaign ends, possible on week-by-week deals.
While Augustin has not started a game for Leeds since joining on loan from RB Leipzig in January, White and Harrison have been named in each one of Marcelo Bielsa’s starting line-ups this season in the Championship.

Losing just one of them would be a massive blow if there are still games to play but Leeds are not by any means the only team in the league to have this issue.
In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has been proven wrong over this player’s exit last year.
