Leeds United have lined up a move for Chelsea’s Connor Gallagher next summer, according to the Sun.
The 20-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at West Brom and has played the full 90 minutes in the last four Premier League games.
Leeds are set to face competition for his signature, though. The Sun (Sunday, p62) claims that Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also planning to move for the midfielder who is rated at £10m.

Leeds were reportedly convinced that he would be a perfect fit for them but Frank Lampard and Chelsea preferred him to leave on loan.
A good fit for Leeds
There’s a lot to like about Gallagher and he’s a player whose profile seems to fit Leeds perfectly.
Back in the summer, Chelsea News said that Leeds could be the right fit for Gallagher on loan saying, “Marcelo Bielsa required a mix of physicality and mentality, along with technical ability, that is hard to come by. Gallagher proved he’s got the lot last season on loan with Charlton and then Swansea.”
It’s not been a great season for West Brom so far but Gallagher has shone, with four ratings close to or above 7 on WhoScored.
An England Under-21 international, he’s a central midfielder who can play in a more attacking position or in that holding midfield spot that’s so crucial for Leeds.
Breaking into the Chelsea midfield is always going to be a tough ask but one of the things that could stand in the way of Leeds is Lampard.
Ever since the Spygate scandal, there’s been a very uneasy relationship between Leeds and Lampard, and the last couple of loan deals between the clubs have been a disaster.
Business is business, though, and there’s a lot about Leeds that should attract Gallagher if Chelsea do decide to move him on in the summer.
