Reliable journalist shares what he is repeatedly told about Leeds-QSI rumours

It might be the fact that the January transfer window is open but we have not heard much about Leeds United and speculation about a QSI takeover in quite a while.

According to LeedsLive Beren Cross, the lack of news on a potential takeover at Elland Road means that there is nothing in the reports.

“Perhaps the message has finally got through there is nothing happening with QSI,” said Cross via a Q&A session on the LeedsLive website on Wednesday.

“We are repeatedly briefed on any of the QSI rumours and repeatedly told there is nothing in it at this stage.

“However, natural conversations are always likely to take place at an informal level, given the company Andrea Radrizzani keeps.”

It has been such a long time since there was any kind of update on QSI and a possible takeover at Leeds that they’re not even the most recent group to be linked with buying out Radrizzani.

Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX reported last month that US billionaire James Pallotta could turn his attention to the Yorkshire club after stepping down as chairman of AS Roma.

There has not been any update on that since either, which suggests that if there is anyone who is interested in buying Leeds, then they are nothing more than just interested at this stage.

QSI have been linked with buying out Radrizzani for a long time and while there could be some truth in their interest, it is not really something that fans should be concerning themselves with at the moment.

It is unlikely that Radrizzani is concerning himself with it either as he is more focused on overseeing a successful January transfer window and a successful bid for promotion to the Premier League.

Maybe that stance will change towards the end of the season but it is hard to see how the Italian businessman would want to quit Elland Road if he is the man who oversees a long-awaited return to the top-flight.

In other Leeds United news, this player with 58 appearances for the Whites is expected to leave the club this month.
