Reliable journalist shares last he heard about injured Leeds ace Adam Forshaw
Marcelo Bielsa is expected to offer an update on injured Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw on Monday, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
The former Yorkshire Evening Post reporter claimed via his personal Twitter account on Sunday morning that the last he heard about Forshaw was that he was coping well with an increased workload in training.
Leeds fans have not seen Forshaw, 28, since he last played in the Championship on September 28.
He has been sidelined with a hip injury but ever since suffering his setback, there has not been any kind of update on a return date.
Instead, Leeds fans have had to hear each week small updates on the former Middlesbrough midfielder, who appears to have been training for a while now but struggling to get back to the required fitness level to feature in the first-team.
Hopefully Forshaw can get back to full fitness as soon as possible because Marcelo Bielsa’s central midfield options are very limited at the moment.
Tyler Roberts, Pablo Hernandez and Jamie Shackleton have all been injured lately while Kalvin Phillips is set to serve a three-match ban for his red card at QPR last week.
Forshaw would no doubt replace Phillips if he was available so there are a lot of questions being asked about who will fill in for the suspended midfielder.
Forshaw is by no means one of the best players at Elland Road but he would certainly be a handy player to have available at the moment.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has shared a significant update on the Whites’ bid to sign a new centre-forward.
