Reliable journalist: Highly-rated Leeds youngster sealed temporary exit for family matters
Leeds United forward Kun Temenuzhkov has never quite hit the heights expected of him since joining the club.
The Bulgarian youngster had been at Barcelona but was brought to Elland Road by Victor Orta with some hype behind his name.
The Guardian released a report back in 2017 which labelled him as one of the best young talents in world football alongside the likes of Jadon Sancho and Leeds-born Erling Haaland – enough to get fans excited.
That may have put too much pressure on Temenuzhkov’s shoulders as he has since failed to live up to that and is currently out on loan at La Nucia back in Spain.
Leeds Live have reported that although he is rated highly by coaches at Thorp Arch, family matters lured him back to Europe in January.
Reliable journalist Beren Cross went on to claim that it would be no surprise if the 20-year-old remained in Spain, at least for the medium term.
It would be a surprise if that immediate future was at La Nucia past this season though, with Kun having only featured for 64 minutes and the fact that the Segunda B has now officially been cancelled.
The youngster has only ever made one competitive appearance for Leeds too, so he is in limbo right now as it appears he has no solid plans out on loan or back with the Whites.
He is highly-rated by staff at Thorp Arch, so frequent minutes with the under-23s would be available to him, but as it stands right now, it appears like Temenuzhkov won’t be at the club next season, with a loan exit looking likely.
