Bielsa confirms whether Leeds will make more signings after Augustin
Leeds United finally got their striker when they announced a loan deal for Red Bull Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin on Monday.
The deal includes an option to make his move permanent if Leeds get promoted.
We assumed that would be it. Leeds had said they wanted three signings and they’ve done that with five days to go.
And this was confirmed by Marcelo Bielsa in his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon.
It means that Leeds fans can relax after spending most of the past few weeks hitting F5 in the hope of getting some news.
Leeds had been linked with a move for Hull winger Jarrod Bowen and many fans have been saying that if they brought him in as well, it would have to go down as one of the best January windows ever.

However, that won’t be happening now.
Even if Leeds had wanted to bring someone else in, they now have a full quota of loanees, with Ian Poveda, Jack Harrison, Helder Costa, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Illan Meslier all involved with the first-team squad.
Meslier could well be needed in the starting XI if Kiko Casilla is banned after his upcoming FA hearing for racist abuse.
It means that any other player would likely have to come in on a permanent deal, which would almost certainly mean the Bowen deal couldn’t happen.
So, our message to Leeds fans – enjoy the rest of the window in the knowledge that Leeds have done some very, very good business.
