Recruitment Lead of English club leaves role to join up with Leeds - report

Leeds United are always looking to improve their staff as well as their squad on the hunt for promotion to the Premier League.

Andrea Radrizzani, Angus Kinnear, and Victor Orta received a lot of praise for their passion for the club after the Amazon documentary “Take Us Home” was released, showing a never-before-seen angle of the club.

The Whites trio have transformed the club, and it has been Orta who has been tasked with improving the squad through his scouting and transfer work.

They haven’t stopped there though, and this week has seen Leeds add an extra member to their staff. Former Recruitment Lead of Sunderland, Paul Midgley has made the switch to Elland Road.

The Sunderland Echo has reported on their website that the League One club are facing an overhaul of their recruitment staff after Midgley decided to move elsewhere after two years at the Stadium of Light.

Midgley will most likely have joined up with Orta’s group as they switch their attention to the January window in West Yorkshire.

This can only improve Leeds’ recruitment staff with Midgley having recently been at the front of Sunderland’s background efforts.

Whether or not it will lead to the Whites being able to be busy in the January transfer window remains to be unseen, but we can say with some confidence that it shouldn’t change much for this season at-least.
