RB Salzburg react to confirmation of Rasmus Kristensen Leeds United move

RB Salzburg have reacted to confirmation of Rasmus Kristensen’s move to Leeds United from the Austrian champions.

The Whites confirmed on Wednesday [8 June] that the Danish international has signed a five year deal that will keep him in Yorkshire until the summer of 2027.

He follows Brenden Aaronson in making the switch from Austria to Elland Road and his form employers Salzburg have reacted to the news.

The Austrian side posted on their official Twitter account: “I’m not crying, you’re crying, part 2.”

The tweet was then followed by pictures of the Whites’ new signings whilst playing for RB Salzburg.

Great business

What a brilliant start to the window this has been for Leeds and Marsch.

It is exaclty what the Whites needed after their torrid 2021-22 Premier League season and begins to give the Elland Road faithful some hope that they can compete a little higher up the table next season.

It is great to see Marsch being backed by the club hierarchy and he must now feel confident that he can really imprint his style of play on this Leeds United side.

Leeds United

Considering the relative lack of business from Leeds’ rivals, the Yorkshire side are in an excellent position to really distance themselves from the relegation zone in the 2022-23 campaign.

The Elland Road faithful should be buzzing to see their new signings in action, particularly Kristensen who could be an exciting addition down the right-flank.

The energetic full-back put up some excellent attacking numbers last season which rivalled most offensive players in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Marsch getting his business done early means he can really intergrate his new signingsin to proceedings at Elland Road.

It’s a good time to be a Leeds fan.
