Leeds United winger Raphinha has taken to social media this week as the club sweats on his fitness ahead of the Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Marcelo Bielsa refused to rule out the South American star on Friday afternoon but did admit that he hasn’t trained as of yet at Thorp Arch.
Raphinha has been out since that 2-1 victory against Manchester City where he was clattered by Fernandinho in that cynical tackle.
Writing on his personal Instagram account, Raphinha posted the image and caption as he visited the London Eye this week.
“Blessed is one who admires but does not envy, follows but does not imitate, praises but does not flatter leads but does not manipulate,” he wrote.
Bielsa is the king of preparation for every single game in the Premier League, and it will be no different against Manchester United.
Raphinha has been a superstar this season, but without training for two weeks before this one, it is highly unlikely that he will feature on Sunday.
With the winger in London, he has clearly been given some time off this week, and that is a big sign that there isn’t much hope surrounding his fitness.
It is a huge blow, but we definitely highlighted against Liverpool that we can still be a huge threat to anybody no matter who we have on the pitch.
Ian Poveda certainly pushed his name forward for his first start in the Premier League, after impressing when replacing Helder Costa on Monday.
One thing that we regrettably look forced to admit, is that Raphinha will likely be watching on from home once again in a huge game.
