Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips could pen Leeds United contract extension

Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips could still pen new contract extensions at Leeds United, according to 90 Min.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Barcelona, while Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are among the sides to have shown an interest in him.

Likewise, Phillips has been chased by a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

The report claims that talks over new contracts for the duo have been delayed as the club focussing on Premier League survival at the moment.

The Whites will open talks with both of them once they achieve their target.

Massive boost

Fabrizio Romano on Twitter has claimed that Raphinha is being heavily monitored by Barcelona.

His contract apparently includes two release clauses. In case, the Whites get relegated, he would be available for just £25 million.

However, 90 Min suggest that Raphinha is not desperate to jump ship at the moment. He is a key player at the club, and it will be a massive boost for them if he stays put.

The Whites are also ready to hand Phillips a huge salary hike at Elland Road.

Phillips has grown into one of the top midfielders in the country and it is important for the club to keep hold of him as well.

The England international is expected to return after the international break having missed a chunk of actions this season.

Unfortunately for Marsch, Patrick Bamford is likely to be absent for the next few games after he picked up an injury yet again.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay’s been raving about an English midfielder who he’s heard linked with the Whites.
