Rangers consider loan swoop for Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville

Scottish Premiership side Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville on loan in January.

According to The Daily Mail, the loss-making club are interested in bringing the 20-year-old on a temporary basis to give new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst the best chance to retain the title.

The attacker has struggled for game time under Marcelo Bielsa this season and he could reportedly be given the opportunity to head out on loan.

Must leave

Summerville was tipped to kick on and take his game to the next level this season.

Given the number of injuries in the Leeds side, it was the perfect opportunity for a player like him to step up.

However, that did not happen and despite being given the chances, he has failed to deliver.

In the summer, he was linked with a loan move as well, but the club decided not to let him go.

They may be regretting not letting him go, but there’s a good chance that they change their stance in January.

The Dutch attacker is known to score “wonderful” goals and could benefit from playing in a less competitive league.

At his age, getting regular game time is imperative and Bielsa could be keen to see how he thrives in a different league playing for a team that expects to win every game they play.

If he does leave on loan, Leeds must not give Rangers the option to buy as he could serve them well in the future.
