Radz sends emotional message to Leeds United fans ahead of Elland Road spectacle

Andrea Radrizzani has sent a message to the Leeds United fans as the Whites are set to play in a full Elland Road stadium in the Premier League for the first time in nearly two decades.

Leeds played their final home game of last season in front of fans, but the numbers were restricted as the lockdowns were only just getting lifted.

Their clash against Everton on Saturday is thus going to be a memorable one and their majority owner took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “It’s been a very long wait, we’ve lost too many, but today we are back together where we belong, Premier League.

“Let’s remember all those not with us. Let’s make today memorable and support the team as loud as we can. Come on LUFC.”

Take us home

It’s been such an incredible journey since Radrizzani took control of the club before eventually bringing a manager of Marcelo Bielsa’s calibre to take over at the helm.

We’ve gone from a Championship mid-table side to top-half Premier League finishers within the span of a few years and we’re continuing to aim for the sky.

Leeds United

Last season, we were actually in the hunt for European places with a few games left and had certain results gone differently we could have been in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Regardless, our campaign was a success in many ways and we cannot afford to rest on our past laurels.

We’ve still work left to do in the transfer market, but with Victor Orta in charge, we’re confident that we get in players who will strengthen our playing eleven and help us look to replicate or even better our 9th placed finish from 2020/21.
