Radz and Salernitana failed to agree on a price
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani and his associates failed to agree on a deal to purchase Serie A club Salernitana, according to Beren Cross.
Radz was in Italy this summer and Cronache Salerno reported that he is part of a group ready to buy Salernitana in a £52million deal.
However, despite sticking to the deadlines put forward by the Salernitana owners, they failed to agree on a takeover.

In his LeedsLive Q&As, Cross said, “The Salernitana stuff has gone quiet. It sounds like Radrizzani and his associates followed the deadlines set by the Salernitana bosses and tried to make it happen, but ultimately they could not agree on a price. The Leeds owner looks to have moved on with his life.
“It was a venture which may have suited him, but only if he took control early enough in the summer to have the time to transform the squad into something competitive.”
Bad news?
Having an owner as a majority shareholder in two clubs in two different leagues is not always the worst thing in the world.
Had this takeover gone through, it would’ve been beneficial for Leeds just as much as it would for Salernitana.

Leeds have several promising youngsters who could’ve been loaned out to gain first-team experience in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
This would benefit the academy and give players that extra incentive before they eventually make their first-team bows.
There are a number of world class players in Italy and competing against those kinds of personalities would certainly help polish the Whites youngsters.
However, by the looks of it, it’s not likely to go ahead, but should such a venture come up in the future, Leeds fans must be open about it.
