Radrizzani reveals one thing that frustrates him about Leeds fans after 2-0 loss on Saturday

Another Championship game for Leeds United on Saturday, another defeat. This time it was Nottingham Forest who burst their bubble with a 2-0 win.

The experience of losing with regularity, one not seen too often under Marcelo Bielsa, is becoming something of a trend for the Yorkshire giants.

Something needs to change, that much is clear, because the Whites’ automatic promotion hopes are hanging by a thread at the moment.

There was clear daylight between Leeds and the rest of automatic chasers at one point. Now only goal difference separates them from Fulham.

The club’s owner, Andrea Radrizzani, is an open book, and he went on social media to vent his feelings after Saturday’s defeat.

I understand your frustration but I have seen a big effort; credit to @NFFC defended very well and a great GK performance,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

“We are second, 15 games to go, best result the Club has ever had since was relegated.. I believe in our players, manager and our loyal fans. Till the end MOT.

“ONE thing frustrate me more than any defeat. I have been like a fan like you, travelling and supporting my team since I was a student and [had] no money.

“How can’t you support a team/club that have reached the best result of last 16 years!! being always in top 3 since Aug 2018. [?] Nite.”

So Radrizzani is upset because he feels that some of the supporters aren’t backing the team in the way he feels they should given their [still] positive position in the Championship table.

However, he needs to be realistic. When you’ve lost four of your last five league games there’s going to be a bit of concern from the terraces.

Yes the team are still in a great position and if the league ended today they’d be going up to the Premier League.

But given the cavernous gap that once existed between Bielsa’s team and the chasing pack, the supporters are right to be worried.

In other Leeds United news, Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi has identified a key Leeds man who was missing on Saturday.
