Quick twists expected this morning as Sam Allardyce arrives at Leeds United – Sky Sports
Tim Thornton has shared that he expects things to move quickly this morning at Leeds United as they prepare to announce the sacking of Javi Gracia.
The Sky Sports reporter was live from Thorp Arch where he confirmed that Sam Allardyce had arrived at the training base ready to get started in his new role.
Gracia is still in position, but his sacking was never going to be announced before his replacement was lined up and in the door already in West Yorkshire.

Speaking live on Sky Sports News this morning [03 May], as shared on Twitter, Thornton shared the latest as he expects things to move quickly.
“Breaking news here at Leeds United this morning because I can tell you that Sam Allardyce has arrived here at the training ground at Thorp Arch,” he said.
“We’re expecting him to take over here from Javi Gracia today. Gracia is still in position at the moment but as we said yesterday, we weren’t expecting Leeds to announce his sacking until they have his replacement lined up.
“That replacement will be Sam Allardyce, so this could move pretty quickly this morning.”
No time.
Leeds do not have the luxury of time on their side at this very moment in the Premier League, and that has become evidently clear with his appointment.
Allardyce is only appointed when teams are desperate and fearing the drop because they know he is an expert at turning things around quickly and getting them out of danger.
With only four games left and three of those being against the top six though, there is the fear that Leeds have left it far too late, just as they did with Jesse Marsch.
Sorting the defence has to be the first priority, and although that is hard against the best sides, it could be the difference between staying up and going down.
Leeds are still not in the bottom three, but with Nottingham Forest taking on Southampton next, we can’t rely on them and Everton to lose their remaining matches.
It would be perfect if they did, but you would imagine that Leeds need at least four points from their remaining 12 available, fingers crossed that can happen.
In other Leeds United news, three other sackings are expected to follow Victor Orta this week after Phil Hay shared the latest news at Elland Road
