Early QPR team news as two key players could be missing vs Leeds United
QPR could be without Michael Frey and Ilias Chair when they travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Saturday, Marti Cifuentes has said.
The duo join an already long list of absentees with Karamoko Dembele, Jake Clarke-Salter and Jack Colback.
Leeds will be looking to take full advantage of a depleted QPR side that were hammered 4-1 at home by Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Rs boss Marti Cifuentes, as quoted by West London News (5 November,) said: “ He’s (Michael Frey) recovering from a calf injury and I cannot give you an accurate answer on when he will be back.
“We don’t know yet. He (Ilias Chair) was in a lot of pain. I guess he will get some tests to know what kind of injury it is, but he has some pain in the knee.

“I will speak with the medical staff and know what the assessment is.”
Ilias Chair absence could be a huge boost for Leeds United
While the news of Frey’s potential absence is a positive for Leeds, Chair is arguably QPR’s best player and certainly their most dangerous and his potential absence would boost the Whites’ chances of victory significantly.
The Moroccan has showcased his ability throughout the season under Cifuentes despite their poor start to the campaign, which has them sitting miserably down in 23rd.
Perhaps surprisingly, Chair hasn’t actually registered a single-goal contribution in his seven appearances but his all-round play has provided a sense of attacking threat for opponents to deal with.

Daniel Farke’s side already have enough firepower to beat almost any side in the division but a significantly weakened QPR squad provide one of the best opportunities to pick up three points yet.
Failure to do so of course, would certainly be cause for concern and would be seen as a massive missed opportunity as Leeds continue their quest for a return to the Premier League.
