‘Put noses out of joint’: TV commentator says ‘special’ player Leeds close to signing has issues

Leeds United are homing in on a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance, with Bild now reporting that negotiations are entering the “decisive” phase after the player was given permission to leave.

Plenty of people are queuing up to shower praise on the youngster but Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard claims the player could have issues with his attitude.

In a tweet put out on his personal Twitter account Hatchard said, “From the moment I saw Michaël Cuisance make his debut for Gladbach, I thought he was a special talent. Has supreme confidence & great technical ability.

“However, he blasted his way out of Gladbach to join Bayern, put noses out of joint. #lufc link shows patience wearing thin again.”

Bielsa happy, we’re happy

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard Cuisance’s attitude questioned.

And one Bayern Munich fan said it meant he wasn’t concerned about the player leaving.

Cuisance was involved in a training ground altercation with Robert Lewandowski on Monday after the striker put in a tough tackle leaving the youngster grounded.

He rebuked Lewandowski but the two players made up on Twitter afterwards.

Cuisance said that Lewandowski taught him a lesson and the striker responded with laughing emojis.

Are we concerned at all? Not a bit. Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t suffer fools. He was reported to have cooled on a deal for Brentford player Said Benrahma this summer after the attacker posted a terrible video online showing off about his luxury holiday.

MOT Leeds News columnist Paul Robinson said he wasn’t surprised adding, “if there’s a trait or a way a player lives his personal life that he [Bielsa] doesn’t like, that will certainly put him off the transfer.”

He doesn’t seem to have been put off Cuisance.

Cuisance wants to play. Fabrizio Romano said that’s why he told Bayern he wanted to leave. We don’t know what Cuisance had been told or promised when he signed for the German giants.

However, it makes us even more intrigued by the transfer. It really sounds like Cuisance is determined to be a regular first-team player and we’re not sure who Bielsa would drop to fit him in.

If he doesn’t get a place in the first-team, will he try and “blast” his way out of Leeds?

Ultimately, though, if Bielsa is happy with Cuisance, so are we.
