Patrick Bamford has been hailed as a hero by some Leeds United fans after announcing that he would be making a charitable donation to a worthy cause.
On Thursday, Yorkshire Evening Post reported a story about laptops being stolen from a school in Leeds.
The Whites’ striker immediately got involved and used his Twitter account to raise the issue and encourage people to help out the school.
We can all do something about this! Im donating my shirt from Monday’s game in which I scored my 100th goal, everyone who donates will be entered into a random draw and a winner will be selected🙌🏽 #ALAW https://t.co/n0lG3onXOE https://t.co/ZaRN2uTgx2

In response to the story, Bamford tweeted, “We can all do something about this!
“I’m donating my shirt from Monday’s game in which I scored my 100th goal, everyone who donates will be entered into a random draw and a winner will be selected.”
This is a very touching move from our striker as that shirt will mean a lot to him and many Leeds fans after he finally broke that 100 goal landmark.
Bamford is easily one of the most popular players among Leeds fans and this latest move has done nothing but increase his reputation off the pitch.
His form on the pitch was never in question as his scoring exploits continue to impress but he is also doing plenty of work while not playing for Marcelo Bielsa.
The forward has been hailed as an inspiration by some fans and his tweet seems to have had the desired effect with many fans showing that they have donated already.
Here is how some Leeds fans reacted to Bamford’s tweet.
What a lovely man you are. Class on and off the pitch
