PSG join Barcelona in race to sign Leeds United attacker Raphinha with Deco set to play key role

Paris St. Germain are reportedly in the race to sign Barcelona target and Leeds United attacker Raphinha this summer.

According to 90 Min Spain journalist Juan Medina, the Brazilian’s wish is still to move to Camp Nou as he’s waiting for them to make an offer for him.

His agent Deco and his own desire will be key in getting this deal over the line with Liverpool and Chelsea also in the mix for his services.

Via his personal Twitter account, Medina wrote, “Raphinha He is currently waiting for Barça to move for him. His wish is to join Barcelona. Other clubs have shown a lot of interest in him, such as Liverpool, Chelsea and PSG. Deco (his agent) and the player’s desire will be key in the possible transfer.”

Saga goes on

After the two seasons he’s had, we’re not surprised by the volume of clubs that have shown an interest in signing him.

Had Leeds finished in top half this season as well and there was decent investment in the squad, the Brazilian may have considered extending his Elland Road stay.

However, he’s seen how the club is being run and the fact that they needed a favour on the final day to avoid being relegated from the Premier League.

While he enjoyed the celebrations, he knows that he cannot keep carrying Leeds and would love to join a Champions League.

If Barcelona are unwilling to pay that kind of money, PSG certainly will be more than happy to match the player’s as well as Leeds’ financial demands.

He would undoubtedly be a thrilling signing for them and while the Whites supporters want him to stay, they know that it’s extremely unlikely at this stage.

In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case involving the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
