Prutton reacts to Daniel Farke sack news as Bielsa claim made at Leeds United

Daniel Farke may be uncertain about his future at Leeds United, but Marcelo Bielsa could potentially serve as an example at Elland Road.

49ers Enterprises are thinking about making a change at Elland Road in the coming weeks after the Whites secured automatic Premier League promotion.

The season isn’t over yet, but there’s already speculation around Farke’s future in West Yorkshire, with the hierarchy not confident about his record in the English top flight.

While the German manager has previously struggled to survive relegation with Norwich City after winning promotion, the Peacocks have been told to give him a chance.

Leeds United shouldn’t sack Farke after Bielsa success

Farke deserves a chance to lead the Whites in the Premier League, David Prutton says.

The Sky Sports pundit brought up Bielsa as an example of how the West Yorkshire outfit gave the Argentine manager an opportunity to prove his credentials in the top flight.

Prutton hopes the Peacocks don’t sack Farke in the coming weeks as talks surrounding the German head coach’s future intensify.

The pundit wrote in YEP (27 April): “Idealistically and possibly romantically, I think for what he has done with the club, he deserves the chance. We saw what Bielsa did, how beloved he was, and then he had the chance to do something significant with them in the Premier League.

“What I am trying to say in a long-winded way is that Farke deserves his crack at the Premier League, I hope that he gets it and sincerely hope that he does well.”

Paraag Marathe set to make error at Elland Road

Paraag Marathe is set to arrive at Elland Road to discuss the managerial situation at the Whites after members of the hierarchy have expressed concern.

The West Yorkshire outfit are unsure about the German boss due to his record in the Premier League.

Farke’s time at Norwich City was relatively fruitful, winning promotion to the top flight twice, but he failed to help them survive relegation.

Leeds will arguably consider the 48-year-old head coach’s past as they look to establish themselves in the Premier League.

While it’s understandable that Marathe and the rest of the boardroom are having doubts, it’s unfortunate that things have been disclosed in the media.

The season isn’t over, and the Whites still have a chance of winning the Championship title.

It wouldn’t be sensible to sack Farke, with the West Yorkshire outfit set to return to the top flight after two years.

Marathe should be planning on strengthening the squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window, but instead, supporters are already uncertain about next season’s prospects.

The situation in LS11 is one to watch closely.
