Pressure mounting on Leeds United for new Kalvin Phillips contract as Newcastle enter race – report
Leeds United are yet to return to the negotiating table to thrash out a new contract for Kalvin Phillips, according to 90min.
The online source have reported on their website that pressure is rising on the Whites to hand their star man a new deal.
It is reported that mega-rich Newcastle have now entered the race for the Yorkshire Pirlo, and are keeping a close eye on developments.

The race is really starting to heat up, it seems.
Phillips is said to want a new contract at Elland Road, his agent has shared that after bids from West Ham were turned down in January.
Despite being out injured, the pressure is really starting to hit overdrive with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all also said to have an interest.
Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Phillips is close to a return, though, and should be back out on the pitch at the start of March.
Get it done.
There are no excuses, here, this simply has to be done.
Radrizzani and the board would never be forgiven if they left this too late, with it already being public knowledge that Phillips wants to stay.
The boyhood Leeds fan deserves to be paid more though, that is very clear given how important he is to this team and Bielsa.
If that is sorted before the end of the season, it all but ends any talk of him leaving in the summer, the same applies for Raphinha too.
No money was spent in January, but big bids were placed for Brenden Aaronson, so the finances are there to put a big package on the table.
Get it done, or someone such as Newcastle will have no problem doing just that in the summer – that can’t be allowed to happen.
