Pontus Jansson sends passionate Instagram message to Leeds ace Gaetano Berardi

Pontus Jansson has delivered a message to Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi after the 3-1 win over West Brom.

The Swiss warrior played his final game for the Whites alongside Pablo Hernandez as they waved goodbye to Elland Road one last time.

Marcelo Bielsa also gave both of his experienced players hugs as they left the field, something we have rarely seen from El Loco in his three years in charge.

Writing on his personal Instagram account during the clash with West Brom yesterday afternoon, Jansson delivered the message.

“There is no one like you,” he wrote.

“Animal on the pitch, the best you can find outside. Thanks for everything.”

Leeds at heart.

Jansson may have left Elland Road in the worst way possible, but the Swede will always have a place in the smallest parts of our hearts.

His passion is undeniable, and we would happily welcome him back to West Yorkshire next season for a heavy defeat should Brentford earn promotion.

This weekend was about Berardi, though.

The defender would never force his way out of this club that has become his own in the past seven years, and he leaves as one of our modern icons.

His 157 appearances for the Whites is his most for any club in his career, and it was fitting he finished with two Premier League appearances.

Bielsa handled the game against West Brom perfectly and as well as bringing home the three points, he seemed to thrill the likes of Jansson who were watching on from home.
