Phil Hay shares verdict on Leeds-Lewis O’Brien links
Leeds United interest in Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O’Brien has been reported as true by Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist is top of the chain for Elland Road news and responded to the links after Marcelo Bielsa was spotted watching him over the weekend.
The Whites are pushing to seal the deal although there is still much work to be done before that can be confirmed.

Alan Nixon has suggested that Huddersfield would like up to £10million for their star man to make the move across West Yorkshire.
Victor Orta is working hard to complete the deal and has even reportedly suggested including player swaps in any move.
Hay made sure to tell fans to keep a close eye as each day passes, with O’Brien clearly the new top target at Elland Road.
With it not progression towards completion, it could go down to the wire, but Leeds will be pushing hard to convince both player and club.

Get it done.
Why wouldn’t O’Brien want this move?
The 22-year-old is ready for Premier League football and appears to be some way away from that at Huddersfield.
A move to Leeds would see him stay in the area and likely not have to move, so he should settle in a reasonable time too.
Carlos Corberan will no doubt have been in discussion with Bielsa over the weekend as his side met Sheffield Wednesday, but it appears as though he will be playing hardball.
Leeds are desperate for a new midfielder, and need more options to avoid another crisis should the likes of Kalvin Phillips pick up injuries.
Expect movement on this sooner rather than later.
