Phil Hay shares if Leeds United will table bid for Brenden Aaronson alternative
Leeds United will not table a mid for a central midfielder after diminishing chances of signing Brenden Aaronson this month, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist claims that the Whites do not plan to make a third bid for the United States international in the coming days.
As RB Salzburg are unwilling to sell him, that ends their interest for now, while another midfielder is not understood to be lined up.
He also claims that the club will look to sign another attacker should Crysencio Summerville leave.
The Dutchman has been linked with a loan as well as a permanent move to German side Hamburg.
Via his personal Twitter account, Hay wrote, “Transfer situation is essentially this – no third offer for Aaronson and Salzburg unwilling to sell in this window.
“Club will wait until the summer for him and won’t bid for another centre mid now.
“If Summerville asks to leave and goes, a replacement needed.”

If Aaronson is unavailable, there surely has to be a second and third option for Leeds.
They can just fold their hands because a move for their primary target seems impossible with just days left for the window to close.

All through the year, they’ve got scouts tracking players and surely the American cannot be the only one that they’ve liked.
With regards to Summerville, they better make a decision quickly as the window shuts in four days.
It makes little sense to lose him permanently as he’s a player with a high ceiling who could be a regular for the first team in the not too distant future.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay issues a major January update amid recent development that would certainly be exciting for the Elland Road faithful.
