Phil Hay admits that the Marcelo Bielsa footage from the recent Leeds United academy documentary on Amazon Prime made him laugh.

In his view, it appears that the camera crew maintained their distance from the former Leeds manager whenever he was being recorded.

This is very similar to the one on the first team as well in which Bielsa rarely features as he did not want to do in the first place.

Speaking on the Phil Hay Show, (53:56), he said, "A couple of other things that made me laugh were the fact that any time Bielsa was video-d, you had the feeling that the camera crew was almost eight miles away which is not so different from the Amazon documentary which he didn't want, it's no real secret.

"He just did not want to engage and they did not want to invade his personal space."

Last glimpses

These are some of the final glimpses we'll ever see of Bielsa at Leeds and that makes the documentary even more memorable.

Obviously, it's club controlled so we will not get the entire picture, but it's still refreshing to see the Argentine at Thorp Arch.

It also gives a greater insight into the lives of these players that will go on to become first-team players at Leeds or elsewhere.

Some of the players featuring are no longer at Leeds, but it's still good to hear their stories and we still wish them the best of luck with their careers.

This even shows the work they put in behind the scenes to get to the level where they can compete for first-team minutes.

Amazon has done a good job entertaining Leeds supporters and we would love to see more content from different platforms over the coming years.
