Phil Hay: Jesse Marsch team news for Leeds United v Arsenal will be revealing

Phil Hay has insisted that Jesse Marsch is set to make a revealing decision with his Leeds United team to take on Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League.

The Athletic journalist admitted that Luis Sinisterra is likely to come in, with the player to be dropped either Patrick Bamford or Rodrigo, with Brenden Aaronson untouchable right now.

Marsch confirmed in his press conference that Bamford is still not at 100% and has even been given days off this week to help his recovery at Thorp Arch.

Speaking in the latest episode of the Phil Hay Show podcast, the journalist shared what he’s expecting after the latest team news was dropped in the past 24 hours.

“It may be quite a revealing decision as he’s not going to drop Aaronson is he,” he said.

“You would assume that Sinisterra would come back in. I know he had the red card against Aston Villa that was a bit brainless but he’s played really well and looked good, he’s tricky and you want him in the team.

“If that is the case, it becomes a straight choice between Bamford and Rodrigo.”

Revealing.

Who is the main man for Marsch?

It would usually be Bamford, but with his injury issues and lack of sharpness in front of goal that we have all seen, there are more questions than answers right now.

The American also loves Rodrigo, he has made that no secret, but after his injury, he hasn’t been the same either so it really is a 50/50 as to who starts and who is dropped.

Although, this is all relying on Sinisterra starting as Marsch may be tempted to stick with the same side that dominated against Palace in the first 45 minutes.

This time around he has more substitution options available to him and that could work to effect the game later on with the likes of Junior Firpo also available.

Changes have been few and far between so far this season from Marsch, but this could be the biggest one of them all with decisions to make in the final third.
