Jesse Marsch is in daily contact with Andrea Radrizzani as Leeds United enter the final week of the transfer window, as shared by Phil Hay.

The Athletic journalist has reported that the budget is defined before the Thursday deadline [1 September], with a striker and possibly a left-back on the cards at Elland Road.

Marsch did confirm that the club are trying to be aggressive in their push for transfers, although these developments are failing to fill fans with confidence.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay shared what Marsch told him about behind-the-scenes talks that are ongoing at this very moment.

“I want to be fair to Andrea,” he wrote.

“We’re operating within a budget which is defined. We’re trying to be aggressive and we talk daily to make sure we’re on the same page. Whatever decisions are made, they have to have the exact strategy in mind.

“We’ve done that really well.”

Daily Talks.

There has to be some progression in these talks or it would make them pointless.

Radrizzani will be at Thorp Arch and Elland Road over the next week, and he will be including Victor Orta in these talks as this trio try to get deals over the line.

This is one thing that is massively different from the Marcelo Bielsa days, where he would kind of leave talks to those in the boardroom and then just give the green light at the end.

Now, Marsch is in the thick of things and identifying targets alongside Orta and his team, something which has seen nearly 10 news faces arrive at Elland Road.

Last season we only really saw Junior Firpo arrive, and the squad needed so much more, leaving us in a relegation battle, one we only just survived.

It may be easy to slow down given our brilliant start to the season, but we can’t take anything for granted at this stage and new faces would be very welcome.
