Phil Hay issues update as Rasmus Kristensen on verge of Leeds United exit

Athletic’s Phil Hay has shared an update on the deal status as Rasmus Kristensen is set to leave Leeds United on loan.

On Wednesday, 12 July, Hay claimed that the deal was now in the final stages and he will be joining Roma on a season-long loan deal.

The Denmark international was only signed last summer but due to the club’s relegation will seal pastures new this summer.

Via Twitter, Hay wrote, “Rasmus Kristensen on a season-long loan to Roma now in the final throes of being done. Hasn’t travelled to Oslo for today’s pre-season friendly against Man Utd.”

Drameh time

No other player has seen more twists and turns over the last 24 months at Elland Road than Cody Drameh.

At various junctures, it seemed that he was on his way out permanently, but then he sealed loan moves and ended up impressing.

Given his age, Daniel Farke will certainly want to see just how good he is and will want to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

Leeds United

It remains to be seen if he can give him the assurances he wants but many will perhaps come to the conclusion that Luke Ayling’s time as first choice seems to be done and dusted.

It’s now time for Drameh to step up and continue performing as well as he is in the Championship over the past two seasons.

If he does that, Leeds will have an even better chance of securing promotion at the first time of asking.

In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
