Phil Hay issues ‘nigh-on impossible’ Luis Sinisterra future verdict after controversial Leeds United loan to Bournemouth
The chances of Luis Sinisterra playing for Leeds United again after his Bournemouth loan are “nigh-on impossible”, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist reported on the outlet’s website on 17 November that the Colombian winger’s controversial deadline departure left both manager Daniel Farke and the club’s fans unhappy, making it extremely difficult to “reintegrate” him at the end of the season.
The Cherries have a “potential purchase option” on the 24-year-old, who has made five appearances for Andoni Iraola’s side, scoring once.

Sinisterra’s loan was only finalised after the transfer deadline had passed on 1 September, with Jaidon Anthony coming the other way for the campaign.
Angus Kinnear made clear his own dissatisfaction with Sinisterra’s and Tyler Adams’ exits to Bournemouth, with the American midfielder completing a £20million-plus permanent move earlier in the window, when speaking to The Square Ball on 7 September.
Never say never
The chances are certainly slim but things change fast in football, and as long as Sinisterra could potentially benefit the Whites then the door is probably ajar.
Few would have expected Willy Gnonto to be back in the Leeds United first team under Daniel Farke after he held out of matches and handed in a transfer request in an attempt to push through a move to Everton before the previous window shut.
But the youngster apologised to the manager and has reportedly been a model pro since, so any issues with his continued involvement have largely been forgotten.

It would surely require Sinisterra to bridge the gap with Farke in a similar way for him to welcomed back into the fold, but of all the players who departed on temporary moves in the summer he is one who has proven the sort of quality to be an asset.
He has hardly been a regular under Iraola yet, so whether the Cherries would be minded to pay anything like the £20million he cost to sign from Feyenoord [Athletic] is open to question, not least if they end up relegated – they are currently 16th in the Premier League.
Both sides would probably prefer that a big-money deal can be secured, whether at the south coast club or elsewhere, but if one doesn’t materialise and Leeds United manage to get back to the Premier League then perhaps Sinisterra could feature in a Whites shirt again.
